Keep writes your customers into a Notion database and keeps them up to date. It’s a good fit for teams that run customer success in Notion.
  • One way: Keep is the source of truth. Changes you make in Notion are not read back into Keep.
  • Per workspace: the connection belongs to the Keep workspace you are in. Another workspace you belong to has its own connection, or none.

Connect

  1. Go to Integrations → Notion and click Connect Notion. Only the workspace owner or an admin can do this.
  2. In Notion, pick the pages and databases Keep may access, including the database that will receive your customers.
  3. Back in Keep, choose the database, map the fields and start the sync.
Keep only sees what you shared when connecting. To use another database, reconnect Notion and select it.

Fields

Map each Keep field to a property of a compatible type. The setup screen lists only the compatible properties for each field, and refuses anything else. Keep never creates or changes properties in your database. If a field has no compatible property, add one in Notion and it appears in the list. Labels such as status and risk are written in your workspace’s alert language.

How syncing works

  • New customers become new pages. Keep remembers which page belongs to which customer, so a sync never creates duplicates.
  • Existing pages are updated only when something changed, such as MRR, risk, NPS, status or renewal.
  • Customers who stop paying: their page is updated to Canceled with MRR 0. It is never deleted.
  • Deleted pages: if you delete a customer’s page in Notion, Keep creates a new one the next time that customer changes.
  • When it runs: Keep syncs automatically once a day. You can also click Sync now at any time.
  • Report: the last sync shows how many pages were created, updated, unchanged and failed.
Keep respects Notion’s request limits. A large first sync that runs out of time continues where it stopped on the next run.

Disconnect

Disconnect stops Keep from syncing to Notion.
  • Pages already in your database stay as they are, and your data in Keep does not change.
  • If you reconnect later and choose the same database, Keep updates the same pages.
  • To also remove Keep’s access on Notion’s side, open Settings → Connections in Notion.

Security

  • Notion’s access token is stored encrypted and never leaves Keep’s servers. It is never shown in the app or included in logs.
  • Every Notion action checks your role in the current workspace, on the server.
  • A workspace can never read or use another workspace’s connection, even when the same person belongs to both.
